It was pretty crazy clicking "new post" this morning. Its been a long freaking while!  I trust that the holidays treated you well. They were our best ever I think. Just wonderful! I don't know if I have ever been so present during the holidays as I was this year. AND I am so excited about 2011! Doesn't it just feel like this will be am amazing year! So much has changed! I am looking forward to each day like anything could happen! It feels different from the past new years bubbles. Do you feel it too?

SO, to kick off the year I did a review of some of my favorite trends of the last year, and while I look forward to some seriously great new trends (that I will likely adapt to my style), these are the ones I think I will hold on to from last year. Maybe reinvented a bit, modified from last year, but still great in my book.

It will be so exciting to see the innovations of this year! I am thinking tone on tone neutrals, loose layers, minimalism, subtle texture, creamy colors!  I think attitudes will be much different this year as well. More laid back acceptance, self compassion, chill.

All right! Well, it was nice to be back today! See you soon!

Welcome back :)
happy new year and all that jazz.
I love the variety in the looks from the year, your style is amazing Christina. Especially since a good chunk comes from thrift stores!

I jumped for joy when I saw this in my reading list. :D So glad to see you.

I think this post does a spectacular job pointing out just how thoughtful your styling goes. Can't wait to see what you come up with next in the upcoming year.

Here's to whatever intimidating/thrilling/lifechanging/unexpected things 2011 has in store for us.

So glad to see you back! I was just wearing that beautiful necklace I bought from your shop the other day and was wondering how your new styling venture was going - I hope you'll be sharing some news of your endeavors with us here from time to time :)

(And if you'd like, you can see my necklace's current adventures in Barcelona here.)

You should have seen my face break out into a BIG grin when this post loaded! I've missed you...but it's good to hear that your holidays were wonderful and your zest for life is high. I took a 10-day vacation myself over the holidays.

Glad you are back!!! I love your look back... it's one of the best. You have this natural ability to dress. That sounds stupid but you just get it. It always looks natural and easy on you.
Happy New Year!!
