My house. My home.

Question asked in Formspring:

You have such great taste in fashion, I was curious as to how you decorate your home. Is it Vintage/Thrift as well ? Would love to see some pictures if that isn't being to nosey. Thanks

Answer:

This is a nice question! Not nosy at all! I often wonder the same thing about bloggers! My house is a lot like how I dress, eclectic, pretty natural, lots of thrifted stuff, tons of wood (wood is to home what leather is to clothing as far as I am concerned). not a lot of fuss. I tell you what, the next time its clean I will take a few pictures. It may not be clean till next week or so since I only full on clean if I am expecting company (and I am around the 18th!) then I will post them in my blog. It will have its teeth clean and hair brushed so don't get the idea that its like that all the time, but I think it cleans up nicely. My husband built it so we have a lot of love here.

So beautiful! It also so really fits your style. :)

Oh man, it will be nice when I can get my home looking this clean again. Right now, we're just concentrating on not letting it become a disaster zone. Toddlers are tornadoes.

What a gorgeous home, it is just my taste. You have some lovely ceramics too - they mostly seem to be wood-fired (?), which is my favourite type.

Your home is beautiful! I love that it reflects not only your personal style but also the region you live in.

Gorgeous home you have, it is a reflection of your style!

I love the Eames..the well-worn leather. The combination of modern and vintage.
The cozy, yet spacious feel of the house. :)
I can go on and on about your lovely home, but yah, yours needs to be featured in Apartment Therapy. Seriously. :)

Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for this! One day I intend on posting pics of my home (when it is done being renovated...the day will come).

It honestly looks like what I would have imagined. It's odd how when you read someone's blog on a daily basis (even in this case when yours has nothing to do with interior design) you get such a sense of their aesthetic. It's to the point where I'll be out shopping and see an item that totally reminds me of a blogger's style.

Also, I'm having a little giveaway over on my blog - you should check it out!

Haha, this is exactly how I would have pictured your home! I love it! I specifically love all the cabinetry and the amazing mural that spans that one whole wall. The architecture of the house (especially the archway and timbers) is amazing!

Thanks for sharing your home, I often wonder what the living spaces of bloggers I follow regularly are like! Yours does not disappoint, so warm and organic with all the wood, brick and mix of textiles. And a lovely reflection of your personal style. I completely agree with the commenter who said it needs to be on AT!

I love absolutely everything about that last photo. You're home is beautiful! I love that everything is in a neutral tone but structure and texture with just the right pop of colour keeps it from being too neutral. Its a tough balance for sure!

Oh my GOD!!!! I'm drooling. What a totally gorgeous home (and my own ain't bad!) It should absolutely be featured in an interiors magazine. What exquisite taste, yet still infused with humor and personality! Very liveable and warm. I live in Sweden where people are quite passionate about their interior design. Your lovely interior would be at home in any Swedish interior design magazine! Who is the artist of the painting in the first and sixth photo? I love it!

Well it is obvious that your style sense is not limited to your clothes! It is gorgeous! I love the brick, and love love that your hubby built it! How awesome is that?
It looks so welcoming and loved.

Your home is absolutely gorgeous and soooo clean ! You need a Haz-Mat suit to enter mine on most days! I am very "scattered" shall we say ?

I love your house, it's very low-key yet beautiful! Exactly what I would like to have some day. Right now I feel like our house is a mish-mash of things since my husband and I are poor newlyweds, haha.

I'm kind of speechless and don't think that my thoughts or feelings about seeing your home could be properly conveyed with just a keyboard.

I'll save it for a nice Nevada day. But just know that I am screaming and dancing and crying and singing inside.
