with teeth

My soon to be sister-in-law let me borrow these killer boots for the evening last night! So stinking amazing to me! They look like they have open alligator mouths all over them with teeth and everything.  This sweater is verging on frumpy gone lazy, but it is super soft and extremely warm and just enough to play down the vampyness of this dress.  I like me a good chunky hand knit sweater (this one found at the Salvation Army).

I have had two new suggestions for home videos.  One is a scarf as a top wrapping tutorial (will require a body suit so that no frontal nudity appears on my blog) and the other maybe a follow-up to the hair cutting video, like a "how I style my mop so those of you who cut yours can get tips in case you want them" video.  I have some time this weekend so I will attempt both.  I hope you have a really wonderful weekend in the mean time!  Hope the gorgeous weather holds here!

Sweater: hand knit thrifted
dress: American Apparel
boots: borrowed
necklaces: most thrifted
webbed necklace: purchased at Red Chair

Why I like this outfit:
How you paired a tight dress with an off-the-body sweater. Now I wish It was fall again....BOOOO!

This boot is so freaking amazing. Nothing like an outrageous pair of cowboy boots.

The first thought I had when I saw the top photo was "Wow, that's a great sweater. It's big and bulky, but manages to look graceful and not boxy."
The second thought was "Man, those are some *amazing* boots."
I would have never thought to mix the boots and sweater together, let alone with a fitted little dress and a tangle of gold chains. It's a fabulous look!

Wow those are some amazing boots!! If this is your frumpy lazy look you must look absolutly amazing ALL the time!! And I definatly would LOVE to see a tutorial on how to tie a scarf as a top...such a brilliant idea!!...Now I just need to go buy more scarfs (or make them since they're just a square of fabric...and I'm cheap...haha)

I love this sweater. I am such a fan of big chunky sweaters myself. I even like them in the summer for night time as long as they are a looser knit.

And the boots... well, now I want some!

Aw! Adorable boots! I love over the top cowboy boots like that. I used to have a pair when I was a kid that looked like Christmas trees and jingled whenever I walked, and I STILL miss it and wish I could wear it now. And I love your big chunky cardigan too!

I excited to see what hair products/tools you use to style your hair, as I have a similar haircut.

i'd love to see the hair-cutting videos. every time i've tried to cut my own hair, it's turned out to be a total disaster.

I would love to see the scarf-wrapping video, I've tried similar things a couple of times back when it was summer here, but it has never looked as neat not-like-a-scarf as yours did!!! hrmph.

Also, you live in the most beautiful place! It looks so serene. Plus I want a stone wall like that to balance on heehee :)

i hope you don't mind me saying this... i don't know if it's the light, but i think your hair looked better in the last post.

The sweater looks super cozy and I really like the contrast it makes with the dress.

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog! You're so sweet!

LOL at no frontal nudity! SHUCKS!!! You are so great!! Yes to that tutorial. WANT it. And you are just so darn sweet! You always leave such great chatty comments! I wonder if we ever did meet in real life which of us would get a word in edgewise?

And don't worry, I think you are a perfectly wonderful blogfriend. Though I've no doubt you'd be a better real life friend (as you have assured me and I take your word on everything...;-). But seriously, if I am ever down that way I will so stop in. And then I could sit outside your house and take in your awesome awesome view.

As for your outfit: LOVE it. The boots are amazing. I wouldn't be able to give them back! And the sweater is great. Oh, ans your yesterdays outfit was total wow too. I am looking at it right now and thinking: wow, you are a total genius. You could so be a professional stylist. Totally.

Hey Christina!
Dude, the boots. Swoon. Haha

I read that post you did with the letter to ModCloth and all the comments about it. It's an interesting issue. Especially for bloggers, like me, who are sponsored by ModCloth. I feel like it's a catch 22, you know? I definitely don't want to be seen as a ModCloth advertisement, but I do love their clothes and they fit my style. I don't know. Part of me wants to just sever my relationship with them because I never wanted to be seen as a corporate shill. But at the same time, it's the name of the game. If it's not ModCloth, it's going to be another sponsor somewhere down the road. We'll see, though, my thoughts about the issue haven't come to a conclusion.

On a lighter note, you are lookin' sexy lately, lady! Your hair is so beachy and fun with the blonde! And damn, can I borrow your stems? haha.
