The nature of the game is changing. Do you know which game I'm referring to? I mean the one that everyone's playing but no one's acknowledging they're playing. The rules of the game had held steady for quite some time, but recently they began to shift. Now even the game's rewards are in the process of metamorphosing. My advice? You don't necessarily need to splash a big dose of raw candor all over the place, but I do recommend that you at least tell yourself the truth about what's going on.
Whoa. Raw Candor! What? I have been so wanting to splash that shit all over the place! Fortunately I read this little tidbit just in time and it made me think twice about the level of candor splashing I actually engage in. . . Because really for what? We are all smart cookies. What I am in the process of doing is identifying the rewards all over again. What do I feel is the greatest part of this huge gigantic game we are all a part of? I think sometimes things I THINK are rewards are only ghosts resembling what I really value. Hmmm.
{EDIT: EM! Just left you a comment where you just commented! Don't know how else to reach you!}
Thrifted stuff except for Scarf from UO and socks from someplace random. Oh wait, and some crazy girl gave me those boots.

Love your new bigger pics!
Love this outfit!
I think it is so important to believe in something bigger than ourselves. Astrology may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is interesting!
The astrologer you wrote about has a regular astrology article in my favorite local independent newspaper! I'm glad you like it as much as I do.
Oh and your outfit looks very cute and comfy.
k, first i can't believe your GRANDMA bought a coat from me. that like totally makes my day knowing that. will you guys please take pics together in my coats and send it to me? i think i would just die!
second, you look fabulous. and i love your bangs. really, they look so serious but just so perfect for your pretty face.
third, yeah i do think we need to look to something bigger than ourselves for answers, and while i don't put any stock in astrology, i do believe in christ and that the rewards we get here on earth really are just ghosts of rewards that we will one day receive. those are the gifts that are really valuable, the ones here, while exciting and pretty and 'now' will never satisfy. any of that help? i rarely talk about my beliefs because i know that not every one will agree with me, but i just thought i'd let you in on a little bit of what i think :)
Gorgeous scarf!

So great! I wish it was still warm enough to get away with shorts in Michigan.
That sweater is amazing.
me thinks I know what the game might be...and it is exhausting.
Candor or verbal diarrhea. It can be such a fine line. I think part of the maturing process is redefining what is truly satisfying to us. One of the best and most challenging parts of accepting Christ is that all the bullshit falls away, in every circumstance.
Great scarf :)
yum,
