transitiony

Whoa. How did I not know until yesterday that I could make my pictures this big?  I don't know.  But wow. They are pretty big. Been feeling a little strange and transitiony lately. It must be the season I am sure. I had a huge terrible cooking FAIL last night. I make a huge pot of something each week, and last night was chicken and rice soup, and I was doing the same old thing that I always do, but decided "Oh! we have extra beets!" and this antsy "try something new" attitude made me cut that shit up and put it in the soup. No biggie right? Should be fine. . . well it seemed to taste fine to me but it looked like a pot full of blood and all the veggies turned dark pink and the chicken turned a weird yellow. I admit. It looked strange and only tasted slightly of beets, but you wouldn't think that witnessing the reaction of my family. I felt like the bad guy trying to feed bloody oatmeal to the golden child. My kid wouldn't take one bite, and my husband said that he guesses he can force himself to eat it this week. WELL. . .  Ah well.

I am listing all the stuff from the Party Time collection today! Just throwing that out there . . . for whoeva . . .

Dress, jacket, necklace, belt, purse, bracelets, boots: vintage thrifted

Oh and I didn't cut my hair or anything, I just got it toned. My girl had to take out my feathers for a couple weeks till I get my roots done, but I might just get a buttload of them when we put them back in.

oh the hilarity. that scene in that movie has stuck with me for a lifetime. "cut that shit up.".... haha.

Ok, now this is AMAZING... I go to try out Google's Boutiques.com BETA and it's taking me through this quiz of my style and not 2 questions in IS A PHOTO OF YOU. I almost died. There you are! For all the world to see!

Okay so I haven't been reading blogs for a few months (speaking of transitions - too much crap going on) but I have to tell you that I LOVE your hair! Love it! To pieces! You're gorgeous!

And with my transition, I'm having to learn how to cook (you know, when a wife who doesn't cook gets divorced we have to learn certain things so we can feed our kid!) and I haven't exactly been successful. At least you're brave enough to try new things! I'm still terrified to veer from the recipe at all!

YOU can rock the shit outta a members only jacket, muthafukka. Wow. Nice.

sorry about the beets fiasco. Yeah, they can over power. And there is something unsettling about eating a bowlful of pink.

Luve your style--luve your wit in your writing too! Sorry about the soup--that's something I would do!

Aw, I had a giant cooking disaster with chicken and rice soup, too!! I forgot to turn the stove off after it had cooked, so by the time I went to serve some up for me and my husband, the rice was GIANT and had soaked up all the broth. It was a huge pot of the grossest looking mush ever. I just took out the chicken and added it to a much prettier potato soup.

I'm really loving your bangs, by the way!

YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING!

You say you didn't dye it, but did you do a more blunt chop on the bangs?! AYE! I love it!!!

And I have missed you. You were gone for a bit, but now I see I've missed a ton. I love your painting. And your son's painting, too!! Looks like you may have a little Egon on your hands....

This dress is incredibly flattering on you. I have such a love for big shoulders but can never pull them off properly. Perhaps when I have more hair...? I just feel like I look like I have a shrunken head.

Hm.

You're the best.

Your hair looks great. Loving the color, even if it was only toned. And it's fun to see it straightened every now and again. - Katy
PS Love the dress too.

I love your hair. I love your bag. I love your stripes. I just love you. Seriously, if you were to ever quit blogging I would be very sad. I would be! Even my internet browser knows I am obsessed with you! (the pic of your website comes up on my blank page as one of my most visited sites...I have google chrome...don't know if that explains it).

But you know, obsessed. I mean, I just HAVE to know what you are wearing! Also, you totally inspired me and I actually DID draw yesterday. It is almost done. I should have it posted by the end of this week. I think YOU will really like it. I'll let you know!

Thanks for putting yourself out there. Really. You inspire me. Also, I must admit, it is nice to know a super cool blogger who ISN'T 19...I mean, there's nothing wrong with being 19...it's just, well, when one ISN'T 19 oneself...oh you know what I mean!

much love: Kimberellie

My kids wouldn't eat that either. I guess you learned your lesson!

Beets are better alone with goat cheese and walnuts.

HAHAHAHA! I am just laughing over the term 'bloody oatmeal!' I go through this each time I make enchilada pie for my family. I keep trying to make it like my mother, but I fail miserably every time. Oh heavens. Your hair is hot, as is your 'members only' jacket!

I like the way your bangs look now, with a solid fringe! Don't take the words from the men in your life too seriously. My father and brothers give my mum such a hard time about her cooking but she's really quite good. A little experimentation is good! For both hair and food, haha.

You have made borscht and don't realize it. Add some sour cream and it will turn a lovely pink! Your son might eat it then.
