so killer

Well hello there.

Ok, well, I think thats all I got for now.  I think.  PMS Today. I know right? Why am I sharing that information?  Well, the thing is, I generally cry one day a month weather I feel like it or not and this month was particularly amusing. You see, my sister gave us the first two seasons of Dexter on DVD for Christmas (we watch TV shows on DVD since we don't get TV stations and I refuse to watch it online on my computer since my connection is too slow) and we blew through those seasons like white lightning (staying up till 2:00am on a freaking school night!) then proceeded to buy the third and fourth and we just finished the fourth two nights ago and I have been so sad ever since. How ridiculous right??!! The season finale of season four just shook me right up. I am in mourning over a pretend Dexter Character. If you have not seen it yet or have not made the commitment to watch Dexter YET, I am sure I didn't just ruin anything for you (and I feel a little weird because I NEVER talk about TV shows here, but holy freaking man jeeze. One makes exceptions in times like this.)  So back to the crying, I was in a sort of off mood due to the hormones and my husband as he was leaving was like "Oh, do you think you might still be upset about 'The character in Dexter'?" and I freaking lost it!  Bawling.  Hilarious and silly and crazy. yes. that is me. at least once a month. Oh well. But dude, seriously, you should watch Dexter man.

That belt is wonderful. Such a beautiful colour! Also I firmly believe that everyone needs to get the tears out and sometimes any silly excuse will do ♥

But it WAS SO SAD. Cry away!

Anyway, better to get the pms weepies than the inexplicable rage, right? ;)

Oh that belt! it must be so damn versatile! Christina, i am so excited for February :)
And it's nice to see your face on here again!

I am SO glad that I am not the only person that feels this way after certain shows. My mum tells me it is because I get very emotionally invested in whatever I'm involved in - whether it be blogging, school, friendships, or, apparently, tv shows. How intuitive of your husband to know what might be bothering you.

Anyway, I love these jeans on you. And, Dexter IS an awesome show.

You may be in a crying mood but you look gorgeous. I mourn Dexter too. I love it.

I'm just finishing my double G&T and couldn't stop giggling after reading this post. I don't have TV, don't care to watch any shows, ever......but you cracked me up. So thanks. And nice belt. Kisses from Philly.

Dexter is the Best. Show. EVER. I HATE that the current season is over. Sigh. At least Californication is back on, so there's that.

What else? That belt. Gimme.

Merci!

DH and I do the same thing: wait til most shows come out on dvd before we watch them. I just finished season 3 of Mad Men and can't wait for season 4 to come out in a couple of months!

And might I say, you look FANTASTIC in hats. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone pull them off as well as you do.

oh man, I KNOW
it took me at least a week (and a lot of thoughtful conversation with the guy) to get over what happened...and maybe Im still not over it...ive been stalling on the next season

anyway. that shirt is amazzzzing (the print and the crisp silhouette created by the belt. illustration inspiration once again!

it's been so long since I've watched a tv series, I can't imagine...would an entire sack of cookies help? That used to do the trick for me.

I know how you feel--- I felt the same when Charlie on LOST died. You look amazing! That belt just makes the outfit.

Isn't it funny how attached we can get to fictional characters? I've never gotten over Christopher having Adrianna killed in the Sopranos. I had crazy dreams for a week after watching that episode.

I recommend Weeds on DVD, by the way.

I LOVE Dexter and have watched every eps, so I know of what you speak from the Season 4 finale. i was completely gobsmacked! Season 5 was definitely different following what happened, a different side to the character. I just got season 3 and re-watched the whole thing and hope to buy season 4 soon too! SUCH a good show!

I've been suffering from the same addiction! Started watching Dexter last week and now I'm halfway through season 3! No spoilers please :)

Gosh you are adorable. And your outfit is adorable. And as for Dexter, now I am so curious and I am going to have to look it up. We stopped watching after season 2 I think. I liked it, but the gore factor was too much for me (I just can't stomach it). But yes, it is a very good show.

Perhaps not worth crying over...but fricken' cute that you did!!!

ps. I just read the synopsis, and I gotta say, I am really glad I don't watch Dexter anymore. I would be crying too! That is just TOO sad!!!

I lurk around your blog to look at your fabulous outfits, but just had to de-lurk to say I share your Season 4 of Dexter pain! I finished watching it a few weeks ago, bawled my eyes out, had a massive rant to my boyfriend about why that was a crappy ending for a season, and then bawled some more. I still get sad when I think about it.

I am embarrassed that I get all weepy over characters in cartoons. I cry like a baby over obvious fictional character (iron giant?) Needless to say UP made me a melted mess.

Glad to see you back to blogging.

haha, you are not the only one! everyone I know who watches dexter is obsessed, me included and I also was very very disturbed by that ending! And props on the outfit

I found the death so upsetting that I almost stopped watching Dexter altogether after the fifth season. I totally whimpered and cried and curled up in my husband's arms. If I had watched it at that special time of month, whooo boy, it would NOT have been pretty. I'm pretty sure it gave me nightmares.

Also, that belt is cute, but I LOVE your shoes most of all. I wish I could find nice shoes like that when I'm thrifting...

This is kind of hilarious because my boyfriend and I just finished going through Dexter withdrawal. It was painful! We obsessively watched the first 2 seasons on Netflix because it was available on Instant Play. By "obsessively," I mean that we finished both seasons in like 4 days. We were going to order seasons 3 and 4, but I had to, uh, concentrate on being in grad school. Thus, withdrawal. The show really is addictive.

Hey! Guess what, the top you wore is definitely from my country, Indonesia, and it's called batik. This kind of cloth is (usually) hand painted with wax in a special technique. There are perhaps thousand of traditional patterns that can be painted on the cloth, representing different areas of origin of the batik. The name of the pattern on your top is "parang barong", and it's originally from my hometown, Solo. Yay!

And you totally nailed it! You made batik looks totally modern and treeeesss chic! Love, love it!

Esti! I am not sure if you will get this reply but I just wanted to thank you for telling me about this print! It is so incredible that it is from your home town! I love the pattern so much and feel so very lucky that this whole situation happened! Thank you!
