white, metal, lungs

So apparently I am feeling better, and I am telling you, this acupuncture stuff isn't mumbo jumbo.  I went on Wednesday morning and, seriously, got better. Interestingly enough, my lady that does this (her name is Maggie) told me some cool stuff about fall. Do what you wish with this information, I just find these things insanely interesting.  So, the element for fall is metal, the color is white, the organ is the lungs which is responsible for emotion. Kind of cool right?  She says that each season has a color and element and organ that corresponds with it. I am not sure what I plan to do with this information exactly, but I am planning on wearing this white necklace all fall. The pendant is carved from a white stone and wrapped with metal. I got it at the Goodwill right after my appointment . . .  along with this jacket and this vintage fur collar. . . ahem.

Jacket, collar, necklace, purse: thrifted vintage
Skirt, tank, socks: AA
Hat, shoes: UO

I think that stuff is really interesting. When you believe that the earth and humans are intricately designed and created, getting little peeks into that design are really fascinating. I like thinking about the connection of yoga, breath(lungs),and emotion. But anyway...that jacket is beautiful and I think I need some socks like that. Glad you're feeling better!

Hilary!! I don't know if you will click balk to read this, but how Crazy and random is that!!!?? Wow! I plan on wearing it every day. Do you wear yours?

Hilary said...

I know!! I havent worn it in a long time. I feel like its going to brake sometimes. Its been hanging across my mirror on my vanity just starring at me. Maybe i should wear it more. Mine looks a little different from yours. The pendant is more round and the smaller beads are more square (they remind me of teeth) But the design on the pendant look similar. I always thought it looked like a sun with a face.

Makes me feel a little better about the metal I just had to spray paint white, while wearing a mask to protect my lungs.

Hmm. I wouldn't have known white or metal, but I am definitely a believer in certain colors for certain times of the year.
