they only have gold and black now). I got the turquoise and applied the sour grapes mentality to the red "Oh, they would probably be too bright anyway. Oh, the turquoise goes with more of my stuff anyway. They are gorgeous just the way they are. bla bla bla." (besides, they are just shoes right?)
Then I met Zoë. . . and she had the red. OF COURSE SHE DID. Among other amazing assets. I went on admiring her color of my shoes for months before I found out she was the same shoe size as me. In September, I could not swallow my sour grapes bullshit any longer. I suggested maybe we trade for a month or so. Just, you know, to see how it would feel to try a new color. . . and she said YES. So these are hers!!! On my freaking feet!! I have no idea how long this will last so I may wear the crap out of them (I promise they will not be destroyed when I return them Zoë!) I am really really trying to avoid any cliches right now, about shoes and walking and all that stuff, but seriously, this is pretty awesome.
