Off day list

  1. I overslept today and was unable to take a shower so my hair is still in my sleeping braids and all the crazy bits are tucked into my hat.
  2. It is still, unavoidably, winter with below freezing temperatures and a brand new blanket of snow over solid ice.  Stopping at stop signs is impossible.
  3. My house is a complete disaster and I haven't washed a load of MY clothes (everyone else's are clean) in over 2 weeks  I have no clean socks, stockings, underwear or undershirts.
  4. I just want to do yoga and drink tea all day.
  5. My letter project is going well and I am super excited about the letter I am writing today!!
  6. I have a terrible memory and have a hard time remembering who wanted to see my fur trimmed suede coats that I was thinking of selling.  If it was you, please refresh my memory so I can get back to you on that.
  7. On a similar note, If you would like me to see your blog, please be sure to give me the address because sometimes I am unable to see your blogger profiles and find it on my own. (EDIT:  AND I REALLY REALLY WANT TO!!!)
  8. I recently discovered DEAD SEA MINERAL SALTS and MUD.  Smells and looks a little like poop.  Is doing amazing things for my neck acne.  (yes I have terrible neck acne, but you can't see it because the angle of my chin and shadows obscure the view.)
  9. I make lists and put even simple things on them like "water basil plant" because I like to be able to check things off very easily.
  10. I love reading your comments and am going to start including, at the end of each post, the comment of the day.  Initiating. . .  NOW.
(edit:  I posted a "play" outfit on my chictopia account since I was not sure if this one would go over well there.  If you have any interest here is the link.)

COMMENT OF THE DAY:

  • Hi!  So the sea salt and the mud have been working for you?? I have tried anything and everything for my acne and I would love to know where you got the mud/sea salts from. How long have you been using it? Thanks! Melanie

what's going on with those leggings? they look like...sweat pant leggings or something. in other words - super comfortable! i love them with the thick brown socks.

p.s. Sometimes I put things on my to-do list that I've already done, just to check it off.

I too have to create easy to do list so I can feel some what on task and focus when I check something off, even it is is as simple as "Remember to check the mail box for mail."

I'm so glad to hear your letter project is going well, oh so very brave and adorable today!

I LOVE making lists (I'm a virgo), and I definitely add very simple things, and something I'll start a list fater just finishing something, so I can include that thing and cross it off right away!

wow! a lot to do/think about!

my mind is also full of things that need to get done, the job interview i just had, and dread for the crazy intense workout class i have in an hour

you look prepared to take on the snow and ice and whatever else comes your way

and im sure you will look a million times better then others attempting to brave the conditions along with you

I like this outfit because it's nice to see what people wear on their off days. You still managed to look cozy and cute. I hope your weather improves! Icy roads terrify me.

I absolutely love lists. Sometimes, right before I am about to do something I stop and I think "oh, let me add this to my to-do list really fast" just cause I know I will definitely be checking something off. I dunno, but it makes me feel so weirdly accomplished just to put all my socks away.

and comment of the day sounds fun, clearly this comment I'm writing right now won't be it haha

You're adorable - even on an off day!

I love my lists - I have three notebooks on the go at any one time, all for different lists. My life would be in tatters if it weren't for my lists!

Oh, I do the making lists with small tasks so you can cross things off easily too! It's so satisfying. And a yoga and tea day sounds heavenly!

Also, hi, I'm Millie, and I really like your blog. (I've been reading for a while but am a bit shy about commenting.) Since you mention it, I'd like you to see mine and my friends' (new and still kind of shiny) blog too! We're at http://interrobangsanon.wordpress,com . And I'll try to be less shy, since you like comments!

Ack, typo in the URL! We're at http://interrobangsanon.wordpress.com

I'm right there with you on the list thing! It's hugely satisfying to cross something off, no matter how mundane. Love the outfit and the boots!

#4 - ME TOO!

I love the idea of simple lists. I've never thought of that, but I do enjoy leaving lists out on purpose at work. Even after I've crossed everything out. Like, HEY EVERYBODY! SEE?! I WAS PRODUCTIVE TODAY.

Thanks my blog and my Etsy shop :o)
The current Oscar de la Renta collection is truly awesome - too bad I will never be able to afford any of it!

I am also on the Libra cusp - I was born on Sept 23rd, which is generally Libra, but I made it a half hour before the sun changed (good, since Virgos are obviously better than Libras!).

Your so cute! I had to take a couple of days off from the internet because I am too afraid to use it when it is stormy (old house, old wiring). Yesterday's and Tuesday's outfits are so cute! I love the milkmaid braids, totally want to try them.
I just noticed your comment on my blog recently and wanted to say thanks for stopping by. I am totally flattered. It feels like Jr High when the cool kid talks to you, ha. So silly I know, but true.

Is there a place where us bloggers can all go in our "play" outfits?

I'd like to open a bowling alley/ wine bar for that purpose.

See you there in your cute striped body suit and fur.

I'll wear my full sequin dress w/ fringe boots.

Yesterday was a pure comfort day for me too. I wore skinnies, flats, and The Hubs' t-shirt...but apparently what I thought was "comfy chic" ended up looking "frumpy bleak." Ha! Oh well. Nice try.

Wait a minute...what are "sleeping braids"? What is their purpose? Is that how you get your hair to look so darn beautiful in all these pictures?

Christen said...

I'm intrigued by the sleeping braids too... I don't know if my hair is long enough to do it but I might have to try! And you look so adorable in this outfit!
