target the magic

I have been playing Lego Harry Potter every day. I have an hour and a half time limit (ahem, MY SON has a time limit) so it's not like I have been OBSESSIVE about it, but ya, when I close my eyes sometimes I see the little spinning circles that target my magic from my wand. It's awesome. I was never a big watcher of the movies actually and never read any of the books, but I FREAKING love the game. I think I am at a bit of a disadvantage because I don't know any of the characters names and sometimes you need a boy or girl from like Ravenclaw or some such to open certain things and I have to toggle through all of my characters to see if any of them will work. I don't know why I am telling you this. Maybe because we just passed the third year last night and when my son gets home this evening we have a date to start year four and we get new magic spells that break locks and stuff!! Its all I can think about right now really. Lame.

It's like I went through this super mind blowing, philosophical, spiritual, totally amazingly spectacular head trip during November and December and now all I can think about are Dexter and Harry Potter. I guess it comes and goes.  Hmpf.  My son adores me either way though so I guess that's all that matters. OK!!  Of to the Goblet of Fire!!!

All stuff: thrifted

I LOVE the mix of neutrals in this outfit. You look so chic.

I've read all the books and seen all the movies, but I'm super competitive AND I stink at games, so I've never played it. I can't handle not being perfect right off the bat. I have issues, I know. :)

Oh Goodness! My Fiance are totally hooked on the Lego games. We finished Indiana Jones and Batman and are currently working on Harry Potter. They are so fun!

But I am the same as you.. I don't know many of the characters or different secrets in the games. Oh well!

Love your blog. Avid reader.

I LOVE computer games! It's my most embarrassing addiction.

On another note, this is the best outfit of the year!

OMG.
EVERYTHING CHANGES IN THE FOURTH YEAR.

You should really read the books. If you wanted I'd lend you my British editions. That way you could pretend to be British and fancy. It's because I love your blog and I love Harry Potter. Gee, I sound crazy.

This crocheted top is the perfect counterpoint the menswear-inspired feel of the rest of the outfit - and of course, I love how the feathers peeking out of your hair bring in the earthy vibe you wear so well. Looks lovely.

Harry Potter sounds pretty absorbing, although I'm usually too intimidated by game controls to get much into playing. I can pretty much only play the really simple wii games that are like, "Push the cart! Hit the mosquito!" Otherwise I get confused by buttons :)

Hahaha, I get that way too sometimes. But for me, it's when I'm reading books. Like right now, I really want me a scottish warewolf. Hmmmm not EXACTLY the same huh? When my friend used to play the game The Sims back in the day, she said she would feel like there was a blue diamond above her head when she wasn't playing. hahaha. ohhhh how strange we are.
I do enjoy reading whatever you write... philosophical or banter ;)

Hahaha! I've been meaning to read the books, and I haven't played the game either. But I've heard it is addicting... have fun, you look fabulous!

That is the cutest thing ever! Not enough parents spend this type of quality play time with their kids these days.

I adore this look. It has a great 70s feel with a professional twist. Just like something you would see from Dear Creatures or Urban Outfitters right now!!

This is a classic you outfit, in my mind.
I heard the lego games are really, really good.
Personally, I love Little Big Planet, so if you....I mean, your son has a ps3 for some reason, that is the game to get.
But I definitely go out into the world with that game logic in my mind, and apply it to the real world...which doesn't work out too well sometimes. So i understand the obsession, but good games are worth it.
