with teeth

I got two questions on my formspring recently that kept me rolling and tossing awake all night Wednesday night! The first was about my teeth and why I never show them and if I didn't like them and if it was related to not going to the dentist, and the second was so simple, yet so profound to me for some reason. It was "What would you do if you had no chance of failing?"  Have you ever answered that question for yourself?  I think it feels like it's asking several questions: What are you passionate for? What would you do if you knew your efforts and hard work would not fail?  What would be worth all of that effort and hard work?  I may be reading into this too much.  It could have been randomly generated by Formspring by someone who just wanted to mess with me and randomly ask me some general question, but even if it was, it came to me at a very interesting time. A time when I was thinking about this very thing anyway.  I answered the question here and the one about the teeth (I will tell you my horror dentist story another time) but as you can see, you very observant inquisitor, I am showing my teeth in this post.  It took some effort actually and felt a bit contrived in the end and I almost didn't include it, but there you go. I assure you they are not all rotted and falling out!

Corduroy Ralph Lauren Sport Blazer: DUDE!! I totally just thrifted this sucker for $7!!!!
Boots: from you know who
Head band: handmade by a girl that sells them in the same boutique that I sell my vintage at now!
Tee: originally thrifted men's shirt I cut and sewed to fit me
Shorts: cutoffs from thirfted AE pants
ring: LOW LUV

I don't know if you are aware that your title is the name of an awesome NIN song... but it is!
Nice teeeeeeeeth. they look very nice and white and straight. ;)
I love how your outfits are so drastically different from one day to another. it makes me happy!
I wouldn't be able to answer that question. maybe fly? that would be pretty awesome. If someone told me I could flap my arms and I wouldnt fail at flying? sweet.
It's a tough question because I don't really worry about failing at stuff unless I feel I am just not qualified, you know? so if someone said I wouldnt fail, but I felt I wasnt ready or informed enough, wouldnt that be like cheating? Oh it's too complicated!

You have very nice teeth. Fact.

That blazer is pee in your pants amazing. Fact. I would almost go so far as to say it is shart amazing. But that would be a little gross.

I also love the headband like that on you. Very, very groovy. Also a fact.

And lastly, I am almost positive that I have that exact same nail polish. It's one of my favorites. That is a potential fact.

And I want to frolic in the woods with you. Super fact.

I admit I was the one who asked the question about what you would do if you knew you wouldn't fail. I think I was embarrassed about asking two questions so close together that I asked anonymously. Sorry I made you sleep poorly. You have such a wise outlook on life that I was interested in what you would say. I answered the question too on my formspring. It's such an arresting question because it makes us face our fears and realize we are keeping ourselves from living life to the fullest.

wow-that second question has spun me into an anxious tizzy. I just realized that I have no idea as to how I'd like to answer that. I'm 28 and I still don't know "what i want to do when I grow up" I feel like maybe I should take some time to examine this. Thanks for posting it and for posting the link to your answers.

This outfit is LOVELY. And I love how you are wearing your hair. So very Fall-esque. Now if only it wasn't rain rain rain where I live I could go out and celebrate Fall...instead I am stuck inside admiring your very admirable boots.

You look like a rock-star! Only thing missing is a guitar. Your photo-shoot looks like a behind the scenes look of a music video! :)
