tattoo you

I don't have any tattoos but if I did get one, and I might one day,  would probably ask this girl to do one for me.  She does these painterly, abstract, brush stroke sort of tattoos, not too unlike the print on this dress (which I found thrifting Wednesday.) Check out Amanda Wachob if you want!!  Oh my goodness!  OH!! So I was just over at her site and snooping around and I found a tattoo she did that is a replica of an EGON SCHIELE Painting!!! AHHHHHHHHH that is my favorite artist ever ever EVER!! Its fate! I can't even believe this! I have to check in and find out if this is as significant as I think it is. I literally just found this out. and it is blowing my mind! Whoa!

{EDIT!!!:  The lovely women at Merci Blah Blah posted an interview they did with me recently! If you want to hear about my wildest fantasies, horny teenagers, poop (I know, not more poop right? but I assure you its not gross) and some other random things check it out! Thank you so much ladies!)

Dress, cuffs, belt, necklace: thrifted yesterday
shoes: old navy
hat: Dockers

Wonderful! I've been pretty obsessed with tattoos of late. And have been doing a collection of pictures of them. This woman's work is awesome...I'm realizing that though, I'm not a tattoo person, I'd consider abstract tattoo.

WHOA, I didn't even know it was possible to create tattoos like that.
I've seen many done in person and it's hard to imagine them coming out like that, but her work is INCREDIBLE. You should definitely get one.

great interview. you are too funny with the "poop" Whenever my son, husband and I are doing madlibs our only rule is that Poop has to be use lol.

But if you should have a change of heart and want to sell those brown vintage boots you wear.... I will be first in line!

I don't have any tats either but have really been thinking about it. I contacted someone to do some temp stuff so I can get a feel for it.

Love the smocking on the top of the dress.

Just sent you a random email asking you a question...

Have a great day!!

I remember the time when you've shared the inspiration photos and artworks etc... In fact I really liked the print of your dress (you look amazing by the way! I just love those shoes) and I'd like a tattoo like that too :) Oh and thanks for the latest comment, I'm glad you're all better and congrats for the promising job offer of your sister! I'm sure everything will be much better... Love you!

This dress is so beautiful. I don't have any tattoos and even though I used to want one, I think I'm no longer interested. I change my mind about things too often, I think.

Okay, headed over to the interview. :)

That dress is gorgeous! You have the best luck at thrift stores; the old people here must be stingy with their vintage goods because my thrifting gems are found few and far between.

This is the second time I've come across a link to Wachob's work- I love broad strokes and the literal interpretation of the body as a canvas.

Love Egon Schiele! In fact, I'm looking at 'The Artists Wife' right now as it hangs above my desk. She's been watching me for, dang, maybe 20 years now.

I just got my first tattoo at 41, as evidenced by my thumbnail. It was a 15 year process and I'm really glad I waited as my vision for it changed greatly over the years. Amanda's work looks fantastic....she'd definitely be worth the trip to NYC if you ever decide to do it.
