lambert the sheepish lion

Feeling a little sheepish today. which is weird since I felt like a ball of confidence in this dress yesterday. maybe I was TOO confident yesterday and now I feel embarrassed. I think red can do that to you and that may be why I generally avoid it.  Day to day things change I guess. Going to keep this brief.  Hope you have a nice Friday.

Dress, belt, bracelets: thrifted vintage
Shoes: some brand that has worn off, from Ross

Beautiful dress, and your hair looks so elegant like that. I sometimes think it is good to wear clothes you don't feel comfortable in, because it forces you to push your shoulder back and ACT like you don't care and think you look fab. Does that make sense? Particularly when I wear something a bit crazy, I know I have to hold my head up high, or the clothes will be wearing me rather than the other way round. And then I'll find I've stopped pretending, and I actually AM confident. *rambling*

You never have a bad hair day, bad dress day or even bad shoe day!

Lovely, always!

You look lovely, sheepishness not necessary (unless you are going to see some sheep, which I did the other day, very cute, my son kept saying: "baaaa"). I adore the neck and the hem on that dress!

But I do agree, red IS tricky.

Also, crazy that so many people felt strongly about what I had to say! It is so interesting the response you get when you put something out there, hey?

ps. did you get the pants yet?

ps. ps. I got mine! They are LOVELY. You will see me wearing them SOON!

WOW. now that is going to be stuck in my head all day, and i sorta love you for it.

and by the by, that red is maddeningly gorgeous on you and maybe there's no such thing as too confident, especially if you're secretly second-guessing yourself.

i am loving your blog, just starting to read it lately.

Oh maaaaaaaan!

On Friday I wrote this super long thing all about Lambert.

I apparently did not post it.

There was singing (of the song), and vibrant memories from my childhood!

I will repeat that I do find it odd how intense the memory of watching Lambert is in my mind.

Especially considering it was all but 5 minutes, right? Maybe 10?

La-ah-ah-ah-m-bert

the sheepish lion....

Aw.

And I do think this dress is lovely on you. No need to be sheepish.

I had an almost identical dress in teal, perhaps in fact identical. It had some wear with age so I consigned it a few years back :-(

Oh my goodness! I have been reading this page for quite some time. I like that you take fashion with a grain of salt and wear things that truly make you happy(and do a FANTASTIC job of it)...the fact that you seem fun, kind and level headed is a refreshing benefit. ANYWAY, I nevverrrr comment. Like never. But you said Lambert?? I immediately got a big grin and started singing the song. Im glad to hear that others remember that video tape as well :) hah, so silly
