Mustered Up Optimism!!!!!

Ahhhh, Monday!  The new years day of every week!  So full of fresh perspectives, responsibility, promise and hope! Tra la la la la la!  Just kidding.  I do have a shit load of things to do today as I am sure everyone else in Monday's world does, but last weekend was nice huh?! Along with all the bright fresh weekday energy that Monday brings, there is a bit of melancholy mixed in there too.  Ah well, what are you gonna do?  I am going to blair my music really loud, dance and clean and drink lots of black tea and make lists, and chart progress, and make the best of it! I really wish you could see the 70% sarcasm I am trying to cover up with mustered up optimism!

This dress is actually a high waisted wrap skirt that looks sweet worn on the hips with a tee, or cute worn around the bust and belted.  I got this blazer from that woman I always talk about, Victorina.  I love how the navy trim on it can pick up the detailing in the fabric.  Allrighty!  Go week!

Your outdoor photos are especially beautiful -- the sunlight gives you this great glow. Love how you styled your skirt as a dress -- what a great idea!

Great combination :-) What a beautifully intricate jacket!

Tuesday to go and then we reach the hump towards another weekend. Impatient, me? Never.

You look fabulous and adorable. I particularly love the dress/skirt in combination with the blazer - I like how the blazer's bold, graphic trim plays off the complex pattern of the dress underneath.

That wrap dress is seriously cute, and I love how the blazer gives it a different vibe.

I love the skirt as a dress look. I have one of these in my own wardrobe that is usually just a beach cover up but I may need to get brave this summer.

I so tried the skirt as a dress yesterday and failed. Must have been the style of skirt. But you so rule this look.

Perfectly beautiful. Love it with that skirt. And as for Monday? Oh, are you REALLY going to get all that stuff done? Because you seriously are making me feel like such a lazy slacker. I can't help it. When my son naps I don't want to clean, I want to read YOUR blog. So it's your fault really. REALLY.

ps. meant to say: "love it with that blazer". Look at me, still not cleaning. Seriously. I blame you. ;-)

I have a skirt almost Exactly like this and put straps in black on it to hide my brazier! (Isn't that just fun to say!... Brazier.) Anyhoo, I am having top troubles and a fitted blazer would be a perfect fix!!! Thanks for the inspire! Also, how cute is the photo with your hair in rollers?!!! Priceless!
