Resolution Remix

I took these just before sunset last night.  I have been wanting to do a proper sunset shoot for a while and even though it was still a touch too early for the golden light, its pretty close!  So this is still my dirty hair (it goes from hat to top knot so easily when its all grubby and waxy!) but I am pretty happy with myself for waiting so long to wash and I will wait again!  My sister called me yesterday on her way to the beauty supply store and SHE is getting hair powder too!  We have both been habitual daily washers for our entire lives so this is pretty big stuff.

I wore this thrifted romper back in December I think (I'll dig up the link, oop here it is) and as I dug it up it occurred to me that it was the day I first announced my new years resolution.  If you were not around back then, you can read about it if you click on this link AND you can see a remix of this romper.  UNFORTUNATELY, like many well planned and fully good hearted intentions to become a better person by setting a NYR, I failed miserably.  I even made a whole new blog to help me stay on track and  hold me accountable.  Now it just remains as proof of my failure.  I guess I could just resume the project, you know, just observe my detour, not judge the time that has lapsed, and focus back on the task.  Thats the advice I would give anyone else.  Thats what I have learned to do when my mind gets off track in Yoga.  So, will I resume the project?  We'll see.  Hmmm.

(I will just do this clothing list for a while and see how it goes!  Thanks for the feedback yesterday!)

I love this romper. And your hair looks amazing. I can never get past how it feels when I don't wash it :(

I love the romper! Totally versatile and can be worn in many seasons! In love with your sandals!
I have think wavy hair, if I washed it everyday, it would be drier than the desert. I dont know what I would do without hair powder.

I love your NYR! It's never to late to pick it back up again, plus your friends and family will still appreciate a letter just the same! It's hard sometimes to get back on track with something you've slacked off on (my diet being the thing for me), but you can still write all those letters!

I don't think I've ever seen a good romper...until now. They are a hard thing to pull off, but you managed to do it so well.

As for you NYR, I loved that idea as well. Even if you don't go back to the blog, I agree with the commenter above that your family and friends will appreciate it. I recently sent out two letters, one to my sister, and one to an old friend who are both going through a hard time. I couldn't believe their responses. One said I changed their whole outlook on the situation, and the other called me crying telling her how much it meant to her. Guess I should keep up with the card/letter writing business.:)

Love both ways you did the romper. I know what you mean about New Year's resolutions. I'm totally sucking it up on mine too. I think you are inspiring me to get back into the game though!!

Your hair looks awesome!

I am loving a romper right now. I feel like I'm always searching for cute vintage ones on my thrifting adventures, but no luck so far. Great find! Love the scarf, too.

I can't even tell that you haven't washed your hair! Maybe I just found my summer experiment - although, my hair isn't super thick, so I feel like it gets oilier faster?

love the romper and scarf!

As someone who doesn't wash their hair on a daily basis it is the way to go! My boyfriend thinks its disgusting, but I think it does wonders if you crave texture!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment you are too sweet!

i love this outfit! especially the romper and the sunglasses!
i systematically wash my hair every other day. my stylist always recommends washing it less, but i like the habit, it's easy to remember.

Dry shampoo is the best! It seriously changed my life. ;) I was once a daily hair washer too. Now I'm down to once or twice a week.

The romper looks great on you. I love them in theory, but I refuse to buy something that would take me so long to get undone to use the restroom. I just refuse.

I wanted to say that I've always wondered where what you are wearing in your post comes from. What is vintage, what brands, so thank you for including that in your recent posts.

Very mod, It's weird but the first thing that came to my head after seeing these photos was Indiana Jones. God knows why that is!!!! :)

I tried to follow you on this endeavor but I HAD to wash it after two days. Mine isn't all that easy to deal with when dirty. In fact, it just looked messy on day 2. :(

Wow. I love what you've done with the romper.

You are such a smart lady too. I never would have thought to focus in life, like I do in yoga. Truly a good plan.

And thank you for your sweet comments on my blog yesterday. You totally saved me from getting super down on everything and made my day. Thank you!

I don't think you should see it as a failure - it's still more than you would have done if you hadn't made that resolution. You're too hard on yourself. :) (And I'm the last person to give you advice on this, really, because I'm crazy hard on myself too!). It was still a positive experience overall, and I admire you greatly for doing it at all.

Andrea xx
