Multitasking

True story:  Girl gets remote control for her camera and is excited to use it.  When the time comes, the skys are cloudy and uninviting.  Girl waits for a tiny patch of sunlight to roll toward her front yard and just as she has everything set up, tripod, camera, framed and focused, Phone Rings.  Its girl's lovely husband who left the house very early this morning and would be providing the first opportunity of the day to talk and plan the days events.  Instead of telling husband "oh, can I call you back, my outfit pictures are very important and there is only a single patch of sun today," she decides that husband is very important too and thinks maybe she can do both at once.  NEW REMOTE CONTROL! Pictures are taken WHILE TALKING TO HUSBAND, and right as husband is ready to say good bye, clouds take the sun away and leave girl alone in the cold.  True story.

You can even see the sun lit field behind me as the clouds rolled in.  I was going to try to retake these but I kind of thought they represent my life pretty well right now.  Combined priorities. Multitasking. Catching opportunities when they come and being ready for unexpected variables.  Things don't always turn out ideally, but this is real life.  Ideals are a fantasy most times. As I am typing this the sun is out again.  I am not sure how long it will last but, Blast! To heck with it! You get the idea!

I washed my hair today and it feels very luxurious to have a totally clean head.  Hair is puffy and frizzy, but I appreciate its lightness and fullness and smell! Will be listing away more today as that has become my daily routine now that I am going at this thing full time (or as full as my reality allows.)

i am so super sorry it's snowing. i don't know, you may love it, but i'd be angry. i'm angry enough that the wind is gale force today. love your top!! and your rad sunglasses. i've been meaning to get a pair like that. i'll have to see if they look good on my face. my face is very picky when it comes to sunglasses. anywho, you look gorgeous!

That top is simply gorgeous! You look so summery despite the brevity of the sunshine :)

I long for the day when I will own a remote (and a nicer camera than a P&S).

Just wanted to leave a comment as I am new to this blog-- don't know how I found it, but I love it! Great photography and fabulous outfits!!

Considering I am in Florida, where the weather is already in the 80s, I envy some cold weather. Lovely pictures, nonetheless!

Girl, you are ADORABLE! I love the little paperbag shorts and the AMAZING off the shoulder shirt. I love off the shoulder shirts even though my shoulders are so tiny that all my regular shirts end up becoming off the shoulder anyway.

snowing, what?? I don't get it...

yay for dirty hair. days 3 and 4 are usually when it looks best on me. If I know I have something coming up, I will wash my hair a few days in advance :)

Do you live in Montana or Idaho? My brother lives in Idaho and it was snowing by him for a brief period of time.

I like the way you can see the weather sort of changing in the photos, it's very cool. And your outfit = PERFECTION. I love that top, and there's really nothing else to say about that..

Your ears must have been ringing the other day when you commented on our Coachella post because we had just read a post of yours about the festival and were quite saddened by thought of a missed opportunity to jam out with you! Oh well, maybe next year! On another note, you are looking fabulous and those shorts are AMAZING!

It amazes me how u can take 4 simple pieces and make then look so fresh and awesome!!! Ya killing me :)
I prefer shade for shots. I am still having sun problems. Someone finally told me to just use the auto setting. Duh! So that's what it's for!!!
I compare it to playing chess online with a computer. Predictable. But that's what I'm actually aiming for!
Never too old to learn to simplify ;)
Thanks for your inspiring outfits!

Despite the multi-tasking, you look gorgeous! In terms of the hair experiment, I think your body will get accustomed to your routine and naturally stop producing as much oil as quickly and such. I guess I'm lucky in that I wash my hair maybe once a week, and it seems pretty alright with that. Anyway, lovely outfit, once again!

you write so well! that first p'graph left me with a sense of foreboding for some reason. being indian doesn't help me much with letting go of superstitions. i believe Nature is tied in with our human-ness.

heck, what am i talking about, tis foreboding for the snow!
