How quickly

Things change pretty fast around here!  You saw the pictures from yesterday morning right?  Well this was yesterday afternoon!  Mid 40s, breezy, SUNNY! No snow left on the ground.  Crazy.  My son and I went out for a quick photo shoot about 4:00 yesterday and got a few cute ones!  There are always so many unexpected great photographs when he is my photographer, and he loves to set the timer and run into the frame with me!  He likes to make funny faces and hand gestures.  Its classic.  That one of me crouching was a surprise while I was trying to help him with a setting.  He was checking his aperture and f stops.  Just joking.

Another new change,  My clinic is closing up.  For good.  Hope and Gumption do not always trump reality.  But it makes my choices very easy for me.  I have been working on my business plan for expanding my Etsy shop (I have not added to it for about a month since I have had some plans simmering on the back burner) and I have some great new plans for the blog as well.  I love how being ready for transition welcomes it right in sometimes.

One more really quick question,  Is anyone going to Coachella?  :D

sorry about the clinic closing, as much as I know you loved your old job and really helped people, maybe now it is good to move on and do something for yourself via this blog and etsy shop. I wish you the best of luck, Christina and look forward to hearing your future plans

Sure enough we're getting snow today and it'll be warm in Denver again by Friday. Weird western weather!

You and your son are so darling together--and I love the dress you're wearing.

I'm sorry to hear about the clinic--I know it was dear to you; but funny how things always work themselves out, hmm? Can't wait to see the next big steps!

Such cute photos. I love that your son is a little budding photographer! And the snow one day, dry ground and sun the next makes me giggle. We had that a couple of times here in CT over the past few months!

So sorry to hear about the clinic. But with great sorrow also comes great opportunity. I am excited to see how you grow and how your etsy shop grows. It will be good, that's always one thing you can count on. :)

OH my, look at that handsome little guy! He is so adorable.

I love this dress with the boots. So cute.

You look gorgeous posing outside in that pretty blue dress, wide belt and high heeled boots and then looking straight into the camera in that fourth photo. Yes, that's an unbelievable change from the photos yesterday! The one thing that didn't change is that you look fantastic and relaxed posing outdoors! Your hair looks lovely too.

What bonkers weather! All we get here is hot and dry…
This dress is totally cute but it’s just no competition for your son. Seriously adorable!

Sorry to hear about the clinic- for you as well as all the people whose lives you could have touched. But time to focus on the future- isn’t it just exciting? Anything can happen!

I'm not going to Coachella. La Roux and She & Him are going to be there! So jealous.

I cannot believe the difference! You were wearing a huge coat in the previous photo! Madness, I tell you!

You look nothing less than adorable, however. And I'm completely inspired by your career developments - I want more time to blog and develop my eBay business. I just need a little push! :)

My first comment was going to be: "do you live in narnia??" because for some reason the unbelievable landscape in your backgrounds made me think of this vast wonderland with fields of green, and grey majestic cliffs.. But then the more of think of it, I'm pretty sure I'm getting my children's books mixed up and I have no clue what literary reference I'm trying to conjure up.

In other news, I'm so happy you're not leaving blog land.. you would be getting way more texts since I still need a way to stalk you.. ;)

Such a cute dress!

I totally, totally empathize with your statement about hope and gumption not trumping reality, my life is in a state of transition too at the moment. Sounds like you have things under control. I hope I get there, too!

I'm curious to see what you all come up with for Etsy and your blog... when people make decisions in their own lives, it always makes me feel antsy to figure my life out:)...blah, blah, blah...

Wonderful shots.

I'm sorry to hear that about your clinic. But since you've already made plans and know where to go next, I guess you'll be fine.

Enjoy the good weather.

Annebeth said...

haha the weather is really weird isn't it? Your kid is so cute! I wish I had a son to take my pictures, hahaha
It's great you have such a good bond with your son that you can share this with him! People should treasure this time in the life of their kids where they are like sponges, loving everything their parents do and loving without questioning.

also adore that dress and you as a person, I'm sure your etsy plan is going to work like a charm! you have such a huge following already! Sorry about the clinic, but you know what they say: when god closes one door, he opens a window. I'm not particularly religious, but I believe that in the end, everything works out. You just have to grab every chance you get!

Christina, I'm sure you know that some things happen for a reason (as depressing as it sounds). You should see another door open up soon...

However, I love the look. And, your son is adorable!

I am loving this outfit! and I love that your son does photo shoots with you! I have had child photographers many a time, and they can get some really great shots! I enjoy looking for photo locations and going there with kiddos--one recent one ended up with a long stay at a playground, so the on location shoot was beneficial to my son and daughter as well as to me. Fun stuff and I love your pictures! I'm adding you to my blogroll--your blog is super inspiring to me as a new fashion blogger :D
