Evaporation

All of that cool looking fog behind me is actually the moisture from the ground evaporating!  The whole ground is just steaming and you can see it come out of the dirt and float upward!  It is SO cool!  I tired to get a shot here on the bottom so you could see, but the movement of it is the coolest part! Anyway, Today is day three of not washing my hair and it is going really well!  I think I can get at least another day or so out of this!  It was so cool reading your comments!  Some of you just put your hair up and it works just fine, but the ricochet water always gets mine drenched so the cap has been helpful there.  Also, mine used to be dripping with oil on day two, but since I have lightened it, it feels much drier and the hair powder doesn't make my roots look Gray anymore.  I could just go all the way like Erin (the queen of low maintenance Chic!) and just let it dreadlock out!! I just don't think I am there yet!  Baby steps! My outfit is similar to yesterdays regarding the socks and shoes, though yesterday I was just wearing a pencil skirt and tucked in tee under my cape (sorry I didn't get a shot).  This is my tailor made Sabrina Dress with my slouchy thrifted grandpa cardigan.  So cozy!

Progress has been made on "The Etsy Register" (the brilliant name chosen by Little Ocean Annie!) the new Etsy shop blog I have been talking about! Luckily there has been all kinds of interest in this thing and several people have been coming up with really great ideas for it!  When we establish a general email account for the blog and an outline for efficiency, we will begin putting it into active use!  I have all of the contacts from before, but if you are new to this concept, stand by.  We will have all the information shortly!

Seriously, you live on a little patch of Heaven!

Regarding hair, I'm a curly girl and have always been minimal about washing my hair. About 2 years ago, I pretty much stopped using shampoo and wash with conditioner only. On rare occasions I use shampoo if I'm feeling grungy, but mostly conditioner does the trick. It's made a big difference in the manageability & softness of my dry hair.

Your hair color and cut looks amazing!!! I totally want mine to be layered like yours. My color is very similar to how yours currently is but with less highlights. Your outfit looks perfect with the colors of nature around you. Very beautiful backdrops you have there.

These photos are great, the evaporation shot is pretty sweet. I always love when you style this dress. I think this is my favourite one I've seen though. I love the scarf and the socks and shoes are adorable. :)

You can do it, girl! I love your landscape photos. It's cool to see the flowers juxtaposed with the steamy fields in the back. I didn't mention this the first time you wore it, but I love your custom dress. That print is delish!

I get yelled at consistently from our salon product merchant about washing my hair on a daily basis. i think mine it more because I put it up at night when I sleep and then I have to wet it to style it (especially the bangs). But I have left the bangs down at night or just re wet only them and then used dry shampoo (dry conditioner is also AMAZING if your ends are dry). I can only do it for a day or so though. My hair is just much too oily. Somehow, after having great skin/hair as a teenager, I hit 23 and I am not oily and acne-prone! Horrible! Huge struggle.
