Dirty

I have been getting a lot of questions regarding my whereabouts since I have been doing these outside photos which is cool but unfortunately the answer is not all that exciting!  Merl from Clyde's Rebirth guessed Narnia!  That would be pretty awesome what with talking lions and fawns and witches and all, but in reality its just Northern Nevada.  Those are the Sierra Nevada Mountains behind me.  There is a lot of space and dirt here.  Especially in the winter.  These fields will soon be covered in alfalfa and super green, but not yet.  The dirt is nice though.  It smells really good to me.

This dress is another Barefoot Vintage purchase!  I know, two in a row but the thing is I have been Dying to wear this one and was going to have to take a length from the waist to shorten it and then elasticize that new waist so it belled out like this (and I probably still will someday).  it was just too long for me and not the right proportions to just wear it as it was.   Here I just folded the waist over and belted it. No Sewing!  Works for me!

Lovely dress. Is that a freshly plowed field? Is there irrigation? Do you grow crops there? Sorry I'm so curious. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are huge. They are a lovely backdrop. I remember driving through Tioga Pass on the way to Yosemite. I guess you're North NorthEast of there. Back to the dress, it has a pretty pattern and with that slim waist of yours, which it accents, you make the dress look gorgeous.

I always wondered why there were mystical-looking mountains in the background. I'd sooner like to believe Narnia than Nevada (though both do SOUND similar to each other, so it counts?).

I like how you paired a cloche-style hat with tough booties, it's an interseting combo!

I have to admit I don't travel much in the States but your pictures make me want to book a couple of trips!

Now that's what I call quick thinking. I do not know why it never occurred top me before, "Folding at the waist" I mean. And the backgrounds might not be Narnia but they are very beautiful.

I thought I recognized those mountains in your posts! I used to live in Incline Village and went to school in Carson City. I did that drive daily while I got my Esthetician license!

No wonder your thrifting finds are so magnificent! I had the best luck thrifting when I lived in those parts!

You look lovely as usually - that is a great dress and the ropers are the perfect counterpoint.

Chelsea
