yesterday

Yesterday I got outside to take a few pictures with my tripod.  All the snow has melted and now it is just very muddy, but I have these old fallen trees that we dragged over from the river and have wanted to do a little shoot by them for a while.

After reading all of your comments regarding my "robot pose"  or more elegantly put "Human Mannequin"  (I like that one So much actually!)  I have decided that my indoor pictures work exactly how I would like them to.  I find that if I look at the camera, inadvertently I am engaging the viewer by looking at them, which is not my intention.  As many of you stated, when I look away and pose just so, my pictures are all about the clothes and not about me.  I would, however like to get an outdoor shoot at least one time a week since I think I will break up the monotony a bit.  The unfortunate part of outdoor shoots is that you really can't see the details of this outfit very well.  Give and take I guess.

I hope everyone had a very fun and safe evening last night!!  Happy 2010!  I am so happy to be here!

I really struggle with the photography side of my blog. I find your photos really inspirational - I love them! And you never look mechanical or robotic. Your pose is very natural, even if you're not looking at the camera.

I love these outdoor shots. You should definitely do more!

I love your idea that you like the "robot pose" because of the eye contact with your viewer; it's interesting to think about! Annie.

This is such a beautiful location and your outfit is fantastic as well. I love the poses you normally have, but outdoor shots certainly make for some fantastic backgrounds. I think you should just do whatever you like best.

how did I miss this!? Ahhh!! I love this combination of tan and black or is it charcoal? Anyways, I think that anything tan is so sophisticated. Whenever I wear my boots(you know the ones) or carry a tan purse, I feel so much like a grown up lady (which, I am). Love the outdoor pictures too. Great lighting!
K, well I guess I can just say that I've missed you! Now time to catch up on all of your lovely posts.
