"I am like a robot, I just do it."

All right, wait, before anyone freaks out, this is a very luxurious FAUX FUR coat that I got at the Salvation Army for $25.  I couldn't pass it up, and I have never actually OWNED anything like it so honestly I have no idea if this is working out for me.  I tried my trusty green one to see if that worked better, but the fur one is so soft and warm and cozy.  Looking at the pictures, I think, well I am not sure what I am going to do yet, but anyway I also got this jumpsuit in the same trip and had almost gotten one at UO when I bought this belt, but refrained due to the price tag, and now I am so happy I didn't! I was so excited that I styled it up for summer too!  I am not sure which I like better actually!  I have been pretty interested in the proportion of the flouncy pant in boots thing, and It feels wonderful to wear, so, ya.  Cool beans.

What are you guys thinking about the loose pants tucked into boots trend?  Have you seen any other examples anywhere because I would like to see more of it.  Oh and I am planning an outdoor shoot this weekend when I will have more time!  I have been fantasizing about it all week so I hope it works out!

Thanks for all of your feedback and for the few of you that added your opinion about my Robot Pose, trust me,  I am TRYING!  I just have my way and even when I THINK I am doing a different face and pose, it really just looks like more of the same! And could anyone guess what movie my title Quote is from?

LOVE the loose pants/boots look on you, but fear that, on me, it'd look too jockey-ish.

Oh I love the jacket, it totally works for you. I think the loose pants and boots looks awesome, I might have to give this a shot.

I think the loose pants tucked into a boot look has to be done with the right boot (oh and the left boot too... hahaha couldn't resist the pun). I haven't tried it yet though.

I loooooove the fur coat. It looks delicious!

lucky, lucky find on the faux fur coat!

i think the loose pants tucked into boots look makes a lot of sense...i'm glad you posted the pants with two alternate looks, becuase there i can see that tucking them into boots seems to give way to a longer silhouette. so, thanks for the tip!

That faux fur coat is utterly gorgeous! What a great find.

Oh, I really like the summer look! Great finds - both of them. As for the movie line, I can hear it in my head but I'm having a recall blank on the movie. I hate when that happens!

Looking forward to some outside shots! I loved your last set.

Nevermind the "robot pose" you speak of--you look fab!
I was actually going to comment immediately on how I liked the pants tucked into the boots, it's a great balance/look.
Then I kept reading and I came upon the fact that it's a jumpsuit, and scored at teh thrift store nonetheless! I'm enamoured by it--if you ever want to give it up, um email me? It's AWESOME!

Wow, that coat is magnificent! I actually tried on a few faux fur coats at Burlington Coat Factory a few weeks ago, and while I loved the look, I just don't know if I'd ever wear one! Meanwhile, yours looks magnificent. And, I love your layered necklaces!

I gravitate to the sandals with the jumpsuit but that's if I were wearing it. You rock those boots something fierce. And with the coat it looks particularly chic.

You're everywhere at the moment lady - spotted you on What I Wore and My Style Pill! So glad more people are realising what a fab job you do every day on this blog.

I love the faux fur. I was just saying on another blog, I MUST buy a bigger, furrier, snuglier one! :)

Your pants are so super duper awesome!!! If there is a man version I might have to think about purchasing them...even though I dont know if I could work up the courage to wear them outside of my apartment. And I love chuckling at the fact that your face is the same in every picture! Lovin it.

I still like your poses! :) I'm planning to tuck my harem pants into my boots once, I had decided to do this when I saw Eve from Le Bloge Mode de Mahayanna in this post: http://mahayanna.wordpress.com/2009/12/28/there-is-something-out-there/ My pants and boots are so much like her :)

Love the coat and that military jacket. The jumpsuit looks great on you!
I've been a fan of the loose pants and boots trend -- I think it's looks chic and comfortable. I haven't tried it yet because I'm afraid the loose pants would drown me out, but seeing your photos makes me want to try it! - JoAnn, Sidewalk Chalk

i found your blog through jayne's little feature on her fave looks of the week! i have to tell you- you look just like maggie gyllenhaal!

Personally I like the style with the jacket best. I think the fur is to "heavy" for you, if that makes any sense.

And the belt is fab.

Do whatever pose you like, it's your blog!

love the jumpsuit and that belt! I like it more paired with sandals.

Wonderful jumpsuit! Love that you broke it up with the belt and necklace. I'm a huge fan of the summer look! The heels are awesome! Thrift find, too?

GOSH, poses can be so difficult! I remember the first time Patrick took pictures of me for my blog and I got SO frustrated at myself because I didn't know what to do!

this reminds me of the legend of billie jean, in such a good way. seriously. have you seen that 80s movie? billie jeans style is back "in," in a really big way.

That quote? Pretty Woman! That's the weirdest thing - that quote just popped into my head last night for no apparent reason. I played the entire scene in my head:

Julia Roberts: "Kit made it sound so great...the first time I did it, I cried the whole time...but now I'm like a robot - I just do it."
Richard Gere: (raises eyebrows)
Julia Roberts: "...I mean, except with you."
Richard Gere: "Of course."

Just don't ask me to quote Dirty Dancing, as well, or my disguise as a cool and normal human being will be completely blown:)
