full circle

This outfit is an example of how everything is cyclical and how karmatic circles work in my life.  First, it all starts with these shorts.  My very first Etsy purchase ever and from Kristen at Leproust Vintage.  I found Leproust surfing around the vintage stuff on etsy and had to have these shorts.  They actually have a high waist and belt loops and are so perfect and fun.  At the time of purchase she asked me to send a picture of me in the shorts and said that she would post it on her blog, which I did, and she did and the start of something amazing blossomed.  It’s a long story, but recently she had some obstacles in her life, and I was prompted by another blogger to contribute to a care package for her.  I sent her a cream colored sweater that had a beautiful crocheted neckline that I knew she would love.   Beautifully, the thrift goddesses rewarded me by sending me this sweater, with proportions I love even more and a crocheted neckline that falls to one side, which suits my tastes just fine! Coming full circle, I LOVE this sweater with my Leproust Shorts! Give and get, that’s how it works.  Let things go without regret and you will receive what you need in this life (not like I NEEDED a sweater but still a super cool example of a very true phenomenon).  I have been feeling this great cycle even stronger recently and I have to say, wow.

You look so nice and sweet. Love the vintage shorts. You are right. Regret doesn´t lead you to anything good.

I know blogging can be very frivolous and fun and not too serious, but you really do say some profound things. I love this idea - everything being connected and intertwined, and then reflecting it in a fabulous outfit!

Thank you so much for your lovely, lovely post on my blog. I'm glad I met you in blogspace too! :) xx

That sweater just looks so cozy! And I've been on the hunt for some high-waisted shorts lately...but I'm not sure why because it's colder than ever here!

Isn't it funny how so many things in life end up coming full circle?

THE BOOTS! I never get sick of it. ALSO...I really like your go to look on your face. Its an almost sneaky look. Haha. Like you are hiding a secret puppy behind your back. That was random...but if I got a new puppy I would have to hide it behind my back for the threat of my parents "sending it to live on a little farm". Moral of the story: I like this outfit.

ahhh I was just having a conversation with Robin and my sister-in-law about karma circles! I think it may have something to do with my obsession with Lost, being as that is a reoccurring theme in the show. I love how you styled the short....so cute! The sweater is awesome; I was actually thinking of wearing the one you sent me tomorrow! :)

This is a beautiful outfit. I am on the hunt for a really great pair of shorts that aren't denim. Also, I adore this bag. It is perfect!

I just stumbled across your blog on a tangled romp through the internet and I have to say I absolutely love your style! You have a really great eye for textures & colors. I love the sort of washed out beachy colors of this outfit, it reminds me of early spring.

p.s. sorry if this seems a bit stalkerish, but I am SO glad to finally find someone else who sees the beauty of J Crew and its catalogues!
