Sibling Rivalry

I am missing my sister in a serious way right now!!  She is coming out for the holidays and I just can't wait!! She is the last person I have on my list for christmas shopping and the hardest person to shop for because we are complete opposites.  I know what she IS LIKE, but I have no idea what SHE LIKES. Big difference.   She is my Younger sister and though she looks shorter than me in these pics, she grew up to be much taller and more graceful than I will ever be! Sis was a freshman while I was a senior in high school and people were coming up to ME and saying "Oh you're Angela's sister!"  She was the popular cheerleader dating the Football Star and I sat inside at lunch on the yearbook staff avoiding the crush of social rejection.   As an adult she is still the star of my family.  Everything is fun and exciting when she is around!  I have to go out and find SOMETHING for her today, though she doesn't really NEED anything.  She carries everything she needs to have a good time in her smile.

Its also my husband's birthday today, so lots to do there too.  My outfit is purely utilitarian today.  The only really fun element are these faux lace leggings!  Printed lace on grey they are functional and fun (as far as I am concerned) Over the elbow cashmere gloves (a gift from my love) make any shirt wearable in the cold, and flat boots get me where I am going safely.  Hope everyone else is having a productive season!

I've just bought two over the elbow gloves today :) Nice to see a way to wear them :) I have two older sisters, both married with kids. I also miss the two girls and the boy as well! I have started to dream about them at night! Hopefully I'll be able to see them this weekend... You look comfortable and fun. You are making great with the leg-wear things! so much to learn! Happy birthday to your love, wish you a very long and happier life with your kid(s) ;)

Good luck with your shopping! My sister is quite hard to shop for too, because I want her to like whatever I picked out.

Your leggings are awesome! - JoAnn, Sidewalk Chalk

K, second attempt. I must remember to re-read my comments before posting,I got way excited then couldn't make out what i had written.
The pics of you and your sis are so adorable. They remind me of me and mine as I was always the shorter pudgyer one and she was taller and blonder. Anyways, this year we decided to choose names and i got my brother and he's so much easier to shop for (we're way more alike) than my sis.
I hope you find something, have you tried etsy? handmade jewelry is always nice.

Even though your outfit is functional, it is too cute! I think I need to check into some warm gloves like these, I am finding it colder this winter than last. xoxo Jolie

I love the pics you posted of you and your sister. I wish I were closer to mine, I'm 13 and 15 years older than my two yonger sisters. One of them just turned 13 and the other turned 9 this year.. they make me feel old (24)

I also have to stop and let you know that I am now on a mad hunt for tights like yours those are amazing!
