Universal Print

This is one of the very few times that I am actually up at 5:45 to type my post out the morning of it posting. I usually take my photos and write my posts about 6:30 each evening and schedule the posts to go live at 6:00 am while I roll around out of bed about 7:00 am.  I know. pretty sneaky.  BUT today is totally legit! I woke up with a hot dry cough and the moonlight shining on my eyeballs so hard that I thought I was being interrogated in my sleep by a bio terrorist. "I will make you sick with a virus if you do not disclose your partners location!!" "NO! I'LL NEVER TELL!! Cough Cough." Luckily it was close enough to waking time, and coincidentally I was unable to post last night due to "Open House" at my kids school. So, here is my actual brain typing at 6:00 am. morning. How are ya? I understand that some of you are up this freaking early every day. nice. good for you.  not really my cup of tea, but I have one steeping as I type this so I'll be right as rain in a jiffy. Oh, maybe talk about the clothes: The main point of this outfit is my Freaking AMAZING PURSE that Paige got me for my birthday!  It is leather and blanket and woven and scrunchy and just lovely. Got in the mail yesterday from the etsy seller Paige ordered it from but the gal didn't include her shop name (which made me realize that I never do either, hmm) so I can't give you a link right now. Seriously thought, thank you Paige! I have no idea if the shoes and belt even work with it, but I really don't care. I think this print may as well be universal. Okedokey.

Dress: thifted vintage
purse: Gift
Shoes: like Marshalls or something
belt: vintage thrifted

You look lovely. I like the pattern and earthiness of the belt and purse. I wonder if you wear this to your kid's school open house. It's so funny because last night was my kid's open house too, perhaps every school in the country was having an open house yesterday.

Yes Tracy. I wore this to my kid's open house. So funny that yours was last night too! It would be interesting to know if it was universal open house night. Thanks!

Beautiful purse! I love the Southwestern patterns in your accessories. Your photos are beautiful.

It's weird -- I take most of my photos in the morning, but I write the posts at night, and then publish the next day. I guess I am usually a night owl, but I'm trying to adjust my internal clock so I can catch some of the best light of the day...:)

This is a master's class on how to wear tribal/ikat to perfection. LOVE that bag! And the whole outfit. Yeah, those shoes "match" just fine.

I just read on another fabulous blog (by an etsy seller) that she is closing shop. She wasn't making the bills see. So I wanted to check her etsy link, but there wasn't one on her blog. I found it, a million clicks later. And amazing stuff on her blog: great clothes, great photos. And I thought: how come she wasn't rolling the dough? She rocked it.

I think marketing, and branding is essential, even in us ma/pop cottage industry biz, including Etsy sellers. So DO include your name in your shipping, and a lovely url so people can return. again and again.

xo.

How in the world do you continually pull of such amazing vintage looks? And you do it in such an effortless way; I would be pissed off and jealous if I didn't enjoy reading your blog so much (okay - I'll be honest, I'm joking about the pissed off part. I'm seriously not that immature to be pissed over a thing like that - maybe jealous a little bit but mainly inspired so thanks).

And I'll agree that the bag is amazing, but my favorite part of this outfit is the belt which is such an interesting and cool detail. I love it.

Oh that Paige, she's a keeper. This bag is so you!! Is that weird to say since I don't know you in person? I'm itching to know the name of the Etsy seller where she got this. Keep us posted?

i'm grinning from ear...to ear! i'm so happy you love this. i just knew you would. i knew it. sooooo knew it. hee hee...getting carried away, so i'll stop. you are lovely, my dear. all of these prints and patters and whatnot, are so having an affair with each other. you know, not quite marriage, but a hardcore "we're not right for each other but we SO are" affair. make sense?

hey, you can let your readers know, if anyone asks, that the seller is...

You have way more wit than I do at 6 a.m. No matter what time I roll out, it is fully an hour before I am even human.

Lovely purse and compliments the belt. At first glance, I took the shoes for Tory Burch!!
