too legit

I wore this for a day of thrifting with Paige last Saturday.  I had been wanting to wear this top for a really long time since it was a gift from a substitute teacher / Artist that I see frequently at the high school I volunteer at occasionally. I always wanted to do like a skirt or shorts or something, but it never felt right, then these AA pants were just shoved in next to it in my closet and a little spark happened over my head.  PERFECT.  I love having my shoulders out this time of year with my hair tucked in my hat.  It has just been feeling so easy breezy, you know? Mmmm Hmmm.

Revelations were made last weekend and I feel this huge serge of creativity and gumption!  I decided that blogger meet ups for me should be totally legit from now on.  We spend a weekend together. Just living. In our own environments (yours or mine) doing the things we normally do.  Sounds risky I know.  Real shit might happen.  Protocols must be put in place of course (to be sure we are all real people for starters), forward planning, budgeting for travel, extra suitcases for getting thirfted stuff back home, but screw these bulk people meet ups man. I kinda want the real experience from now on, you know!  How do you get to know someone over drinks or brunch in two hours! Its ridiculous!  I feel so spoiled now! ROBBED by the short time I got to spend with people I met in New York for the Chictopia conference back in February (and I stress MET).  If we are gonna go through the trouble to MEET we are going to make it worth it.  Do you follow?  Yeah.  You get it.  Thats right.

Shirt: vintage gift
Belt, Hat, Shoes: Vintage thrifted
Pants: American Apparel

Wow, poor me... You want to meet and I'm continents away... damn... anyways, I hope you don't lose this for like a few years, yeah it may take some time :D

You look great! Loved the shoulder off blouse... I somehow feel uncomfortable about showing my shoulders, that may be because they always slip up:D

Wish you luck about meetings!!! I'm gonna follow all!! :)

I know exactly what you mean! I spent the weekend @ Sara of She Is Sara's apartment and I feel like we're old buddies now. It's the best experience- meeting someone in person that you know from blogging and realizing you really ARE great friends!

I love this top! I think exposed shoulders are actually really sexy (but just not in an obvious way). I'm pretty new to blogging and don't really have any blogger friends IRL yet (wahhh), but I see you POV, if you're not going to really get to know anyone, then really, what's the point?

xoxo, Ashley

What a sweet top :) It reminds me of something a young (stereotypical) Mexican maiden might wear!

First off, I LOVE this outfit. You look so beautiful. And your butt looks great in those pants! I can never get my tushie to look good in my pair like 'em.

Secondly, oh, I so want to come and visit. That would be so much fun. Me visiting you, that is. You visiting me wouldn't be half as fun considering I have a strong desire to visit your view... Yes, your photos reveal to me the backdrop of you life, and my word it looks lovely. Also we have no guest room.

Also, I am most definitely real. Right now I have a splitting headache to prove it!

Oh and I have you in my latest post :) Well, this is natural, isn't it?

Oh my goodness. You literally just killed me three times. {Including the post from today, which in relation to this post is actually from the future. But I'll put my comments where they belong}.

That blouse is wonderful and reminds me of all the delightful items that come from the Renaissance Festival (do you have one of those around you?)! Oh, I cannot wait.

Also, just this weekend I spent about 30 minutes in the AA dressing room debating over those chambrays. The AA dude insisted I needed them, but I went with high-waisted leggings and decided I would instead find high-waisted chambs at the thrift. Good luck. Yeah right.

...at least yesterday was pay-day??

And Denver is a really fun place with loads of thrifts and vintage shops and tea houses and bars and parks.

So, I know we just met. But if you'd ever like to meet: you know where to find me.

I agree with you 100%. Those events can be stressful because there are so many people you want to meet and talk to and get to know, but so little time. And how can you really get to know anyone in that amount of time, anyway? I wish more bloggers lived near me!
