I am definitely going back to work at the eating disorder clinic, even though it will be voluntary for a little while! We all believe in the program and for what it has done for all of the girls we have treated (have been in touch with all of them and they are ALL doing very well!). All of the doctors and therapists (equine therapy, acupuncture, art therapy, nutritional training, meal planning) are on board and we think a solid push will be enough to get us through to continue providing care. To give a bit of information about the clinic, we treat boys and girls from age 8 to early 20's who suffer from eating disorders, but are not quite at the point of hospitalization (or hopefully not even close. Eating disorders are not always accompanied by the emergent need for hospitalization, but are very destructive none the less) Once they must be hospitalized, the level of treatment must be invasive and is out of the individuals control. Our hope is to intervene before it gets to that point by integrating traditional treatments with many other approaches designed to help the individual heal physically and emotionally in a comfortable and supportive environment. Also, we only take 7 guests at a time so the treatments and therapies are very individualized taking into account the specific needs of each person. If anyone would like more information about this please email me (secondskin19(at)gmail(dot)com) directly and I will give you the website of the facility I work at.
I have never really talked about this before but felt compelled to do so today. Seriously, if you or someone you know might be interested in getting help, please email me. It will remain completely confidential.
COMMENT OF THE DAY: Such a great quote! Thanks Darlin'!
I love the belted top with shorts. You so rock ! I am venturing into a volunteer situation as well. Wish me good vibes! A saying I live by is: "Life gives to the Giver and Takes from the Taker." You are such a terrific giver !

So good to hear about the clinic! That is really amazing what you do.
Glad you are starting to feel a little bit back in the swing of things.
Two things:
1. You have this amazing effortless style that always blows my mind. I always strive for what you have naturally.
2. I think what you're doing at this clinic is amazing. You truly are the perfect person for this kind of job (even though I've never met you, I know).
LOVE the shirt! And, it's really nice to hear about the clinic. It sounds like it is very much worth saving!

What you are doing is incredibly important. I commend your and the center's efforts and pray you continue to have success.
I'm so impressed that you're still going back, even though you aren't paid staff anymore. Some people get caught up in the money, but I think you're more invested in making deposits into the karma bank. Good for you!
You're a great role model for those girls and boys.
Love that top, girl! And adored reading about your trip and seeing the photos. You still look tan to me. :)
Wanted to let you know that I launched my freelance site this week, so all of my outfit posts are feeding through there now. Just go to SarahAnnNoel.com and click Life/Style. It was easier to have it all together than to manage the Lipstick List separately! :)
Your clinic sounds like it's doing really important work - I could have used a place like that ten years ago!
On a lighter note, I love your shorts. So hard for me to find the perfect length these days...

this must be such a rewarding job, I'm glad it is working out
This is wonderful. What you are doing is so important.
Sounds like a wonderful thing that you are doing there. I like how you help the people before the help they need is necessarily invasive. Sounds like a job I might even like (I've actually never liked a job before and I have had quite the variety!).
Oh, and you look beautiful. Those shoes make me happy. And this outfit makes me want to go to the beach!

First of all, your legs really are perfect!
Thank you for sharing about the clinic. I think it is tremendously important work, and so many young women and men struggle with esteem issues and eating disorders. It sounds like difficult but very rewarding work.
Dear, first of all, sorry but you look as if you had no sun tan.. Ok maybe a little on your face... But I can say that you might be careful with sun, all of us should! Anyways... I envy you for your work, you're making a very good job and i know you love it and helping them is in your nature... A lot of vitamine B and a medicine for migrane (both for my neck treatment) made me think about food all the time but it's gonna change after all this I believe. If not, I'll ask you about your art therapy :)
And my answer for your comment on my blog:(you may not come back to your comment all the time, I know, that's why :D)
You are a wonderful person... I feel so lucky, and I appriciate for your post, thank you in advance! And, I thought the same while I was writing this (hair) post, I could leave my hair on your hands so confidently! Thanks a lot for your comment, love you!
Pretty pretty pretty !
I love what you do, you are one of my inspirations. I am going to volunteer in a cancer institute near my place. I am just waiting for the paper-work to get through.
Thank you for the lovely post.
You are beautiful inside out. :)
SO glad to hear that! What you do is truly admirable.
You always look so great in hats! Love your shoes too.
Congratulations on the job- it sounds amazing. This post makes me remember why I want to go into a giving profession!
Firstly - thank you for sharing a bit about your work, so many young people(and older ones too) have such poor body image these days so what you're doing is so important!
Secondly - Your blog is one of my 1st port of calls everyday so to say thank you I've tagged you for a blog award. If you look on my blog post titled My 1st bog award you'll see.

PS I love your outfits, all of them. But, I want to steal all of your hats!!
I love how you develop such cool outfits around something as simple as denim shorts. So cool. And that's great you're involved with that clinic. Stylish AND a heart of gold? You don't always see that combo in the fashion world!
