Hasbeens

I know, again with the Leproust Shorts and the socks and sandals, but I can't help it.  It was 50 degrees and sunny yesterday and I dressed as though it was the first day of spring!  It was wonderful!  I have decided I am not fully in love with these vintage sandals I am wearing though since they are a smidge too big and just slightly too flat and platformy.  I am going to take the plunge and actually buy a new pair of shoes.  I buy one new pair of sandals each year (in January) and one new pair of boots each year (near fall) Thats ALL I NEED (tell myself).  They are the only well calculated, high quality, brand new, usually expensive things I buy all year.  Last year I bought strappy gladiator sandals from Urban Outfitters, and actually Target booties (if you can believe it!)  This year it will be Swedish Hasbeens.  I did my research (asked Kristin from Leproust Vintage what she thinks about her new lovelies) and weighed my options.  I really think this will be the spring and summer for wooden clog sandals, based on my own obsession with the look and all the sandals over socks I am seeing everywhere else!

I've been seeing Hasbeens pop up all over the place and I'm starting to fall in love with them! If I did get them, it would probably have to be later and hopefully they won't have sold out all over the place!

I'll never get tired of the sock/sandals and shorts look. Your adorable as always!

Haha. I lIke the sandals with socks! And those are really cool shorts! I wish I could tame myself and buy just two pairs of shoes a year. Shoes are my weakness. I can't help it.

Usually I don't like shorts that aren't denim, or at least blue, but I've really taking a liking to yours! They're just the right combination of color and cut! Or maybe you just always style them so nicely :)

Wonderful shorts! I think your suspicions may be correct about clogs... Annie.

I've been thinking about the Hasbeens too! They are just so expensive that I can't decide. Do you know of any cheaper versions?

You know what is so funny?! When I was buying the hasbeens, I thought of you (even before I talked to you about them)! I seriously thought, "this is a style that Christina would wear!"

socks+sandals=:)
the most I've ever spent on shoes was forty dollars, I have no regrates, and wear my boots nearly everyday.

Those shorts are so so adorable!

Really, really adorable shorts. I don't know why, but for some reason I have it in my head that I can't wear brown and black together. But I'm totally wrong and yet again, with your outfit, I've been proven wrong. :) The combination works so well!

I love the top and the shorts! And I like where you're going with your prediction(s) for the wooden clog/sandal this spring/summer. You know, I actually read in one of the many fashion mags (can't remember which one), but they had a whole spread on the clog-how to wear it-and hot clogs right now. Made me want to get a pair. Although after reading your interview on "This time tomorrow" and reading here that you only allow yourself one pair of sandals and one pair of boots (purchased new)per year, I realized that I should try to cut back on frivolous spending myself. (I already tried this once, but just for a month-it worked, but as soon as that month was over, I went right back to my careless spending.).

I definitely wore shorts on Saturday. Shorts, and nude fishnets. But it got awfully chilly that evening, and I was still in my shorts. I got some odd looks, but also got a lot of compliments too!

The Hasbeens are everywhere, arent't they? You are making them work! I really adore the ones you chose--chunky and sweet! I think I need to invest in some...I'm going to wait until next weekend, when they are going on sale at my friend's adorable shop Bon.

It's all about the Swedish Hasbeens. I just ordered a pair!!! And you're dead on- spring and summer will be about the wooden clog. And, apparently, SPJ wears a pair in the new Sex in the City movie.

I have been seriously considering a pair of Swedish Hasbeens lately. I like the ethics of the company, the shoes are good quality and they come in a nice variety of colors.
