Mele Kalikimaka (Hawaii's way)

My son is in preschool and his Christmas program is tonight.  The theme: Christmas Around The World.  Cute right.  He has been singing all these great foreign Carols, some I have never heard before, but his Favorite is Mele Kalikimaka. The teachers asked that the kids dress in "World" dress, so my boy is going in sunglasses, a Hawaiian shirt and leis!  Not really world I guess, more American on vacation, but he's into it so I just have to go with it! This is what I am wearing.  My version of Vintage Hawaiian in the snow.  Can you just imagine this skirt/ dress in the summer with sandals and a fedora! Some Day, Seriously, It Will Happen! My mantra in cold weather.

I have received a couple of blog awards, and will be posting my answers to questions and more random things, AND I get to nominate like 17 more blogs!  YEAH!!!! But I gotta get some actual things done today. The whole fam stayed home from school and work yesterday and I can't get anything done when they are around!  JEEEESH!

Oh, and on a tiny note, My husband informed me that John Lennon was shot in 1980.  I would not have been able to mourn his death in my fantasy previous life because I too would have been dead. Or in fact I was and infant.  I didn't check my facts when I wrote my fantasy, I just let it pour out.  Excuse the mistake.

PS John Lennon was shot on this day in 1980. Quite fitting that you mentioned him in today's post.

Mele Kalikimaka is my favorite Christmas song, your son's Hawaii Christmas outfit sounds amazing if only we could all wear sunglasses Hawaii shirts and short for Christmas. When you wear that dress in the summer with sandals and a fedora I'm going to be so jealous!
