Doctor. . . you're insane.
Its been so nice to see so many people "Half Naked" and perhaps winning that dress from Thursday's post. Some of you were really freaking hilarious! I never expected such funny responses! Today I am giving these Docs a test run. I feel like I am not going to wear them outside though. They are pristine, never been worn, laces still tied by manufacturer when I found them, perfectly "worn" patina. Even though I found them second hand, I very strongly doubt they were purchased in the 80's. Therefore, they are less than 20 years old and not eligible to sell on Etsy. So what to do. . . I honestly think they are SO amazing but this is the only way I can think to style them. I am sure there are millions of possibilities, but I am just not a Dr. Martens person. I DID buy a pair of the all over flower ones in the mid 90's and wore them to the ground (I still have them. Maybe I'll bust them out next week.) If you have any ideas or links that could help me out a bit, send them on over. please.
Otherwise, Maybe I will just try to sell them to you. Size 8. Woven embroidered eyelet material on the leg, dusty almost super pale pinky, lavendery, beigey, creamy leather and laces. Never worn (but to take these pictures). I promise this is not the start of some new sales strategy, I just bought them to sell on etsy and now I can't, and unless I figure out how to wear these, I don't want to hoard their beautifulness. I don't know. . . I mean whatever. Is this tacky? I don't know the Faux Pas of blogging. I think it would be a greater shame to hold on to them for all eternity and not wear them, and ebay feels like a nightmare to me.

i haven't commented on your bliggity blog for a while, love those boots!
You don't have ideas for these docs? Wow. How about a floral, pucci style long dress and the docs just looking out? Or what was it called a romper? With black overknee socks and the docs for the splash of colour? And some fancy gloves. How about a rusty coloured pencil skirt and black turtleneck and them? Want me to go on?
I'd wear them all day. In fact when you first showed them I got mine out. They're the same height, but with turqoise leather and zippers on both sides of the laces. And I wore them every single day since then. They're my winter shoes, and I love them.
If you don't want yours, I'd buy them gladly. We do have the same size. :-D
Cheers, San
i adore this outfit! the belted skirt is adorable with that blazer of yours. and those boots actually add a kick to your outfit :)
make them a 9, and I'll take um!
gosh those are AMAZING!! i am not really the biggest doc marten fan (namely because i don't think i could pull them off) but those are just incredible...i would wear them everyday.
also...stop being so pretty & outfit-awesome!!
i love docs! i love how you styled it. you can totally wear them everyday!

oh gosh i want those docs so freaking bad! *siigh* damn you small baby-sized feet!
you always have THE best luck at thrift stores!
HI!!! Just a quick comment to say that i've tagged you in my latest post.
Those shoes are gorgeous!!! Don't sell them, hold onto them... I am sure you will figure out some cute outfits to wear with.
aaaaah, I was just going to tell you "THANK YOU for showing me how I should be wearing my Docs"....I am so stupid, bought a pair back in mid-Oct. and I still cannot figure out just what to do with them because I end up just feeling like I'm 16yrs old, it's 1996, all over again--but not in a good way. ANd here you are saying that you aren't really sure how to wear them....oh we're in the same boat. What you've done w/them here is quite convincing, you are pulling them off well--and now I think I have to follow suit. Since I already have this pair that have only been worn twice, I cannot take you up on your offer in regard to these ones you have, although I like yours better....but seriously, if I don't know what to do with one pair, how am I ever going to figure out what to do with a 2nd pair? (but I am a size 8...oh darn you, this is soooo tempting).
I love all your belts....
Oh goodness, I WISH I was a size 8. Jesus.
Love that Docs...too bad it's not my size. Keep it, you look good with it.
I love the skirt and the blazer, I really would like some more blazers when it cools down here.
I don't think it's tacky to sell them on your site (It's YOUR site). Ebay is daunting to me too and this seems much more doable...not a size 8 though.
I love how you styled them here and like some of the ideas from "San" in this comments section. S.
How do they look with jeans? I'd be wary of the becoming a little like space boots! I love how you've styled them here, but I can see the difficulties. Oh, but they're so pretty! Shame my great big boat feet won't fit into them. :)
i think docs look best girly (unless you are in middle or high school) and your style looks perfect! I'd love to see them with a really girly suit or long flowy gauzy dress =) (i'm a size 8 also but just bought a new pair of boots at a thrift store a few weeks ago and my closet runneth over)
I may be a size 8 n docs, will have to try on in a reg store to be sure, I would possibly be interested but I am sure you will sell them faster than I can check. Dont worry about any blogging etiquette, it's your blog so do what you want! ;)
I would buy them from you in a heartbeat they are just my size. By the way love your style it is effortless chic.
I absolutely adore this outfit! Love those shoes!! They're so fabulous!!!

First, I just want to say that you look great in those shoes and styled them perfectly. I advise you to keep them for yourself just on the basis of how good they look here. If you do end up keeping them, I really hope you'll include them in more posts! The floral ones, too - I'd like to see how you style them.
